Sharad Navratri 2026 Abroad — Date & Time in Your City 🌏
USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Singapore, Australia — the local Sharad Navratri date and observance time for 12 diaspora cities, computed from the tithi's real timings for each city's own sky.
Ghatasthapana is done on the morning whose sunrise carries Pratipada. Abroad, the same tithi can fall on a different local day — find your city below.
Sharad Navratri 2026 — date & time city by city
Times are each city's own clock (daylight saving already applied)
Why the date can differ from India
A tithi is not a calendar day — it is the span in which the Moon gains 12° on the Sun, and its start and end are single moments in time, the same instant everywhere on Earth. What differs abroad is your clock and your sky: that universal window can cover the sunrise of a different local day in New York than it does in Delhi.
Every row above is computed, not copied: the engine finds the tithi's exact start and end (the same calculation as our daily panchang), then checks which of your local days carries the classical observance moment — ghatasthapana is done on the morning whose sunrise carries pratipada. Sunrise, sunset, midday and moonrise are all calculated for each city's own coordinates.
Temples and communities sometimes fix a different day for practical reasons (weekend gatherings, a visiting priest, a regional tradition). Where your temple differs, follow your temple — this page tells you what the panchang itself says for your sky.
Do not average, convert or offset India timings to your zone — a puja muhurat is not a TV broadcast. The observance follows YOUR local sunrise, sunset, midnight or moonrise with the tithi running, which is exactly what the table above computes.
Kundli, milan and muhurat reports accept any birthplace and timezone on Earth — with USD pricing for international cards.

When is Sharad Navratri 2026 in the USA?
See the table above — New York, New Jersey (Edison), Chicago, Houston and the Bay Area each show their own local date and time. The tithi's universal window can put Sharad Navratri on a different local day in America than in India.
Is Sharad Navratri on the same day abroad as in India?
Not always. The tithi begins and ends at the same universal instants everywhere, but whether those instants cover your city's sunrise depends on your longitude — so the local date can shift by a day.
Should I just follow the India time converted to my zone?
No. The classical rule ties the observance to your OWN sky — your local sunset, midnight or moonrise while the tithi runs. Converting Delhi's muhurat to your clock can put you on the wrong side of the tithi's end.
Is daylight saving accounted for?
Yes — every time is printed on the city's own civil clock via its IANA timezone, with DST already applied for the date in question.
My temple announced a different date — who is right?
Follow your temple. Community observance legitimately weighs tradition and practicality alongside the panchang. This page gives you the astronomical answer for your city so you know what the tithi itself is doing.
