The panchang yoga is computed from the sum of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, split into 27 named parts. It is not the same as the yogas of meditation or the planetary yogas of a birth chart. Most yogas are fine for daily work; a handful (Vyatipata, Vaidhriti, Parigha and others) are traditionally avoided for important beginnings.
