Griha pravesh — the first formal entry into a new home — is traditionally timed so the household begins under a stable, nourishing sky: the Moon in a fixed or gentle nakshatra (Rohini, the Uttaras, Anuradha, Revati and their peers), on a favourable weekday, avoiding rikta tithis and amavasya.

The engine screens all three limbs for every date in the next 90 days. For the ceremony itself, families usually enter in a shubh choghadiya of the chosen morning — our panchang page shows those windows for any city.

Each day is screened on the three classical panchang limbs: the Moon's nakshatra must be on the griha pravesh list below, the vara (weekday) must be favourable for the activity, and the tithi must be clear — not rikta (4th, 9th, 14th of either paksha) and not amavasya. Dates clearing all three are shubh; two of three, acceptable.
